Are you sure about black on black?

Looks nice to me - just get it checked over by a Defender nerd (plenty on here!!) to make sure it's a good one. Certainly looks good! If you're a bit OCD about cleaning (I am) black cars are both a joy (when clean) and a complete PITA (when dirty 14 seconds later)! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Yeah i really liked the look of CR's 110 and thats kind of where i had the idea to go black on black

http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic6367.html

I might possibly consider getting it wrapped in a Matte Black, but im not to sure how they hold up or last so i think i'll just wait for now...

Good luck with your purchase and enjoy whatever 110 you buy.

Defenders are great vehicles and look better when they are used!

That does look good! Never been a huge fan of those grilles/lights but the rest works well - pretty aggressive!
Not sure I'd trust a wrap on a Defender! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Nene are pricey - and never negatiate much. Well prepared usually though.

If you don't want the A Bar I'll buy it off you Thumbs Up John

I actually have opted out of the Grille and stuck with the one on it, but i will try to have a look for black light surrounds and a black original grille later on Very Happy !

Nice. Be very interested to see what the change in chequer plate looks like - mine's a black 110 CSW too and I'm unsure whether to go black or silver.

Best colour for a Defender though Laughing

Hi All
Getting late into the topic.
By way of introduction (and first post); I am following this forum for some time (found so much great stuff) and more in depth recently as decided to go for a 110 (due to the forum??) – similar desires as Scottish110. So this topic of great interest.
I guess like all; have been surfing the web and visited some dealers (Nene and Berkshire) but so difficult as total lack of experience with defenders (for that matter buying used cars in general). And it seems difficult to find individual selling a well-cared for defender.

DefenderoftheEarth, the blue one you mentioned is that one at Carrs Truro (as a guess on location)? If so any specific feedback on this dealer. (did a search on the forum but could not find anything) Seems OK from pricing pov

Scottish 110; all the changes you requested are those included in the advertised selling price? (if so; Great negotiator !!)

K

Ks88 - it's still there. I saw it last week!

For some reason it isn't showing up on their stock list. Maybe give them a call?

They are fairly good. Not top notch like Roger Young in Saltash, but not bad. I've only had repairs done by them though - not bought from them. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.
