Water Ingress / gap filler
Although potentially stopping a Defender suffering from water ingress is almost inconceivable I found a product that has massively helped in sorting out the “non interference fit” on many panels and seals recently.

I believe Landrover used Dum Dum putty to solve certain gaps and leak points and published a leaks manual? although that putty is no longer readily available or old stock which may not be in good shape. I bought some 3M BODY CAULKING 08568 recently, although not cheap, but what a great option (I have no links to 3M etc). Has good operational parameters for temperature and easy to use / really effective.

There may be other options but thought it worth mentioning as I’m sure I’m not the only one working through a thankfully shrinking list of leaks or rattles…………….. 2010 2.4 TDCI Puma Defender 90

Hi.. If you are looking for a strong permanent seam sealer then the body shops sell pu adhesive fillers for the job..there are many brands available and a wide price band I've found.. The technical specs may vary slightly but my experience using the stuff is that any pu adhesive does the job
It is flexible to a point but once sets can pretty well only be removed mechanically..

If you are looking for a softer flexible sealer that does not really set but gives a waterproof seal but allows separation, then they are usually butadiene based and also sold in tape form.. Which can give a neater job.. But personally I prefer the cartridges..

I found this stuff does a good job of filling those gaps.
