A parking heater needs to be fitted in the Defender in order for the climate control to show up in the remote app.

In the German market Webasto needs to be fitted in order for the remote climate control to work as it is not allowed (by law) to start an engine remotely.

l have remote start/climate in my 90 Commercial and l am sure l don't have the electric cabin pre heater as mine is the basic specification.
l didn't think you were allowed in the U.K. to have the vehicle engine running when it was unoccupied but l can start the engine and set the climate using the app. |

So the question is is this restriction can be changed in car CCF or it is more some profile on InControl servers.
I removed InControl account and create fresh one with completely different mail and different market country. (Originally Czech Republic, I tried Norway). Than I add my vehicle by giving reg plate number and I activate it by press and hold this white button in the car. Unfortunately I still do not have remote start option. There have to be a way to change this. Let's say if someone from Sweden wants to buy a car from restricted market but will use car only on Sweden roads will not be able to fo remote stary. |

To the best of my knowledge, it is a setting on the LR central system that would have to be changed.
Sadly, LR are not willing to do this!! My D5 is a Belgian one, and it is NOT available. My Defender is a French one, and it IS available. Both these vehicles are registered in my LR account that is registered in Luxembourg. This shows that the registered account location doesn’t define if the feature is available on the vehicle or not. 😞 |
