The green seals should both be 'captive' in the terminal, but the part which holds the seal is broken off your terminal (compare the two). Ideally you'd change the terminal, but your replacement has pattern seals so probably pattern terminals which don't normally fit very well
I've knocked up a test wire to show you: Click image to enlarge With the connector body clip side up, the spring and flag on the terminal should be facing up as well. Then just push the terminal in, it should go 'click'. Make sure the terminal is straight on the wire before fitting, if it's bent out of line you might struggle to get it home. Do that with both, then inside the connector: Click image to enlarge Above terminal 2, there should be a small grey clip visible (circled). With a small screwdriver or straightened paperclip, push this in gently, then flick it to the right as arrrow. This locks the terminals in. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
