Help with strange fault please.
Engine starts and idles high at 1500 rpm but throttle pedal has no effect whatsoever.

Did it a week ago and then problem vanished.

Now was coming out of a roundabout and lost throttle altogether.

Tank is full. Temp is normal. No MIL light on.

Any ideas?

According to the blurb in the manuals that's classic failure of the accelerator pedal position potentiometers..
No throttle response raised idle but try depressing the brake pedal.. It should reduce the revs..
You could check the connections at the unit.. I think there is a common earth.. If that was iffy it might cause the failure..

Thanks Andy. I did think it might be that. Had a look at the wiring when it happened. Looks a bit ratty but all connected.
Next time it does it I’ll try the brakes thing.

I did have a throttle issue years ago on a Puma and it threw the MIL light on. 2011 130 Utility Body
