I have a kit like this below - really useful to find external leaks, test when cold and warm .

The heater valve can leak and drip especially when heater is on hot. So worth looking at that, several topics on the issue on here and an easy job to replace.
The main radiator can leak, especially on the near side engine bay side. This can be hard to spot as there is a lot of piping and plastic shielding in the way. A tell tale is orange / pink staining on the rad. If that needs replacing a Nissens replacement is a good price and better quality than a replacement from LR. |

It can be as simple as a leaky join where a clip is not fully tight. It could be at the water pump which which you should be able to see with the bonnet up. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
