Puma 2.4 Coolant Leak
Hi guys, I’ve got a minor(ish) Intermittent leak, somewhere in the cooling system. Checking it daily (vehicle is my daily driver), some days I’m topping only it up with about a cup of water, other days half a litre….just can’t locate the Censored Mad I’ve put one little bottle of K-Seal in and that held it for a couple of months, but reluctant to do the same again though.. “Shirley” the more of this gunk I pour into the system, the bigger the likelihood of bunging up the coolant runs in the engine, etc? Anyone got any advice on this? Confused

Thanks in advance for you received wisdom chaps! Bow down Bow down Bow down

I have a kit like this below - really useful to find external leaks, test when cold and warm .

The heater valve can leak and drip especially when heater is on hot. So worth looking at that, several topics on the issue on here and an easy job to replace.

The main radiator can leak, especially on the near side engine bay side. This can be hard to spot as there is a lot of piping and plastic shielding in the way. A tell tale is orange / pink staining on the rad.
If that needs replacing a Nissens replacement is a good price and better quality than a replacement from LR.

It can be as simple as a leaky join where a clip is not fully tight. It could be at the water pump which which you should be able to see with the bonnet up. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
