Agree with all the above.
Also if the business was failing due to the products it sells, they should have stopped selling them sooner and moved to other brands. |

I think it would be more honest to say a fundamental inability to manage the business properly led to the collapse rather than the (alleged!) unreliability of JLR products.
This statement however almost made me spit out my coffee:
Self delusional or what? Interesting also that they seems to think they have "clients" (ie those who procure services) not "customers" (those who buy products). |

lt does seem odd.
Maybe they were buying from auction with no warranty, which is where problem vehicles are dumped by the big dealers. Maybe they took a chance and stood the warranty themselves. £198,000 losses in one year they say. l've got a customer who deals in used Supercars and he lost almost that amount on one car, that caught fire while he was using it and his Trader lnsurance didn't cover it. |

When I looked at a Volvo recently it was self insured by the dealer rather than them taking out a third party policy. The car was a 2015 plate. |

Reading some google reviews, there were a few comments saying they'd been sold damaged cars which had been repaired (poorly), some questionable MOT passes, etc..
So yeah, likely not the best condition vehicles, purchased outside of manufacturers warranty, probably from auctions and flipped on a budget... not really setting themselves up for success were they. Interestingly, several complaints about wonky BMWs too. I suspect the business model just didn't work anymore - 30 years ago, it was a very different world. Modern cars are far more complex and expensive to fix. I would say that you have to be pretty brave to buy a cheap 10 year old JLR. Having to offer a warranty on such a vehicle would be pretty concerning - especially if you're hoping to just flip it at minimal cost. |
