Headlights not working
The side lights work as they should, with a low current going through to the main head light, but when switch is in the dipped position I have sidelights only no dim headlight. But then, if you switch to main beam, then turn back to dipped they all work fine, till next time you use them.

I know there is a box somewhere that controls this low voltage to the headlight business, and am thinking that may be the problem.

Any thoughts..........

Where is this box of tricks..........

Thanks
Andy

The dim-dip box is mounted behind the dash binnacle; looks like a large relay, it's a maroon colour.

you can get a bypass unit for it (i've got one in the bulkhead i'm building up, can get you the part number tomorrow if needed), which is just a "relay" box, with a wire link in it, across the main switch contacts (to keep power to the headlights whenever the stalk off/sidelight/main switch is switched on.

Thanks Jamie,

The part number would be useful.

Think I have a spare main beam stalk around somewhere, so may change that to test.

Can't think what else it could be.
