Yup. What's the point in putting shiny things on a Defender...

Thanks. It looks like I have all the brackets except the rear inner ones on the frame rail. How do I position these properly if I am to weld them on? I've also noticed that your rear inner brackets are 4 hole while the Britpart kit only has 2 hole brackets for front and rear (inner brackets). Is your ARB kit from another manufacturer? 2006 90 originally registered in Italy |

So I was able to ascertain after looking at many pics and sites that the answer to my last question is that the 4 hole brackets are on the 2007+ Defenders. Mine would be a two hole being a 2006.
I would still like to know where these rear brackets get welded to the frame. Can someone with the brackets measure from some point so I know where to put them. Thanks. 2006 90 originally registered in Italy |

I believe that from TD5 era onwards it was two hole front and 4 hole rear. Certainly that is how it is on my 2003 110.
I can measure up for you, but it will have to wait until it stops raining ![]() ![]() |

Thanks. Our cold wet weather has just left. Next 7 days are sunny and temps in the teens so looking forward to some good days of driving.
The Britpart kits I am seeing for the TD5 90 show only 2 hole brackets for front and rear. Could it be that maybe the 110's take 4 hole brackets on the rear? Interested in anyone with a 90 and the Britpart kit confirming one or the other. It will obviously dictate which bracket I buy. Thanks. 2006 90 originally registered in Italy |

@Screbble....thinking about it the X eng ARB mounts on only two holes of the available 4 in my chassis brackets, but uses a 4 bolt saddle to clamp the bar

The ARB brackets on the rear of a Td5 90 onwards are fixed to the fuel tank brackets Theres are only 2 welded on nuts per side on the fuel tank brackets. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

It’s clearly torsional thermodynamics with lateral manifestation at play. |
