Thank you. It was a fantastic trail, a bit butt clenching in a couple of spots, but the view was spectacular 😀

Would love to hear more about the explorer set up you went with as your 110 is almost exactly the same as mine, 300tdi, same tent etc and similar usage by the sound of things and have been planning a bit of a suspension upgrade for some time.

What springs/lift are you running and what shocks (2001 Front & 2009 Rear?) Front ARB or no ARB?

Anything else useful you can share would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Martin

Hi Martin….. Details of the kit are here:

https://gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/product/explorer-suspension-kit-info/

I had a few conversations with Gwyn and described my set and requirements and he suggested the specific springs etc, well worth doing as he is extremely knowledgeable and a lovely chap.

Because of the roof load I have I went with the firmer valving on the rear shocks which controls the lean etc nicely. Springs on the rear are OME2754 and OME2751 on the front. It gives it a bit of body lift but I like the stance and it means I can load up heavy when on a bigger trip. Because of the rear lift I also went with his HD cranked rear trailing arms.

I’m running a standard ARB on the front but no ARB on the rear.

Such a good setup. As and when you decide to add a rear ARB I can highly recommend the X-Eng X-Delfex kit (now Foundry 4x4). It gives a superb amount of control in the corners and has the flexibility to be disconnected when you need the extra droop.
