Where can I buy a replacement clip?
There is a plastic retainer clip at the end of the small diameter air box induction hose. It snapped whilst I was replacing the hoses and now requires tape to hold it in place. Friction alone wont cut it. Knowing how sensitive the air flow system is I am keen to replace it. Any clues?

link is a pic showing location (red circle).

I would think a jubilee clip will be plenty enough to hold it rather than tracking down a clip. I think it is the breather hose from the rocker cover, but it’s hard to tell from the pic!

Thx Co1.

The jubilee wont work as its a male connection to the rocker cover. You have to jubilee clip the hose onto a rigid plastic 'transfer' connector then push in the grommet seal end of it into the hole at the rocker cover. The clip assembly comes as one piece with an 'over' collar retaining it in position. Its the over collar that has snapped.

Have you tried using the parts diagrams on the LRWorkshop site to find your clip?

https://www.lrworkshop.com/

Go to Menu/Diagrams/defender/

Then just start searching till you find it. If you create a free account you can enter your cars details so you’re only shown the relevant parts.

My engine bay
So you wont see the offending tape alternative Ive used beneath the rocker cover but you can just see the jubilee clip that fixes it to the part I need. The plastic element is seated ok into whatever hole its supposed to go to but there should be a flexible retaining collar I assume is to prevent it shooting off.

Is it part of the rocker cover assembly instead?
