They are the leak off pipes and return to tank. The high pressure ones are the metal pipes to the injectors. Leak off pipes are available for Tdi and the likes, not sure for the TDCi though others with more knowledge will answer better, I have only got up to TD5 era.
Your repair will be ok in the short term, but make sure they are diesel resistant. |

I believe you can also get 'rodent tape' which deters them in the first place.
I've no experience of it myself but a friend who's bulkhead I'm replacing at the moment is going to buy some for parts of his wiring loom that the mice have been nibbling. A pity it only comes as an assembly instead of being able to replace single hose parts. I will order one though.
I looked into that rodent tape - it seems to not always be effective. thin paint laced with hot chilli pepper/powder looks to be quite popular and effective though! Thanks all. |
