To quote that well worn euphemism :
“to explore new opportunities” "New Delhi: Felix Bräutigam, head of sales & marketing, Jaguar Land Rover, has left the company. This is the second top executive’s exit that comes amid the new CEO Thierry Bollore’s revamping business strategy for the UK automaker. According to a recent report by Automotive News Europe, JLR said in an email statement on Monday that Bräutigam "has decided to leave Jaguar Land Rover to explore new opportunities." Bräutigam joined JLR in January 2018 as the chief marketing officer and member of the Board of Management. Later, he was appointed to the new position of chief commercial officer and member of the Board of Management in April 2018. Bräutigam was responsible for all global sales and marketing activity on both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. He supervised the launch of the Jaguar I-Pace electric crossover and the new Land Rover Defender." https://auto.economictimes.indiatimes.com/...s/83953248 Given his role included: Brand positioning Current and future product planning Customer relationship management Marketing communications Brand experience strategies Global sales and customer service Supporting future growth He must have been looking over his shoulder daily. |

In May, Julian Thomson, design director, Jaguar quit the brand. Thomson’s resignation came after Land Rover’s former head of design, Gerry McGovern, was promoted in November to oversee design at the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

"Decided to leave ... to explore new opportunities" is not something you say when you've been head-hunted! It suggests that either he chose to get out or was pushed.

Spend more time with the family.......who won't recognise him because he's spent the last 30 years climbing a greasy pole. Poor chap. Not financially obviously, he'll have been helped out of the door with a generous package and i imagine an extended period of not working for a competitor.

And replaced by a bloke from Dyson...
Click image to enlarge "Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has appointed Lennard Hoornik as its new chief commercial officer, replacing Felix Bräutigam, who departed as chief marketing officer at the end of June. Hoornik - who also takes a seat on the board of directors - arrives at JLR having spent eight years at Dyson, after holding roles at Sony, Sony Ericsson and HTC. JLR says the appointment has been made with immediate effect and that Hoornik will be responsible for the sales and marketing of both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands globally. His other responsibilities will include brand positioning, planning for current and future products, customer service and relationship management, among others. “We're pleased to confirm that Lennard Hoornik will join Jaguar Land Rover as chief commercial officer,” said JLR boss Thierry Bolloré. “Lennard is an excellent addition to our business and is a hugely experienced leader in bringing products to market in exciting new ways. Innovation has been a key thread in his career, making him perfectly placed to realise the potential of our Reimagine strategy.” https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industr...land-rover |

Maybe the brand will get some decent cyclonic pre-filters on the air intake at long last!

Oh dear. If the chap had a lot of say in the Dyson product development roadmap over the past 8 year then this doesn't bode well for JLR. In my opinion Dyson have lost the plot in recent years.
