Worth trying a relay in there. Think the part number is YWB500220
Not certain whether the same on a TD5 but for TDCi also check fuse 38. Does make you wonder who removed it though and more importantly why? > 110 XS Double Cab |

Thanks chaps will give it a go and see what happens.
I've still had the glow plug light ignite on the dash though? |

Glow lamp control and glow relay control are separate ECU functions. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I would test with a meter first, before just poking a relay in.

How did you test them without a relay ?

Check you’ve got 12V to relay carrier, check the resistance on the wire out to the blow plugs isn’t a short direct to earth. Check that the glows plugs aren’t already getting 12v from some other source or you've miss diagnosed the relay carrier.
You could disconnect the wire to the glow plugs and put a test bulb into the system instead. |

I tested the glow plugs with jump leads on the bench, they are perfect. I'll do some multimeter testing I think, instead of just chucking a relay in. Tis strange no relay I think |
