I'm pretty sure the one in the center of the picture is a wading plug, no?

You may be right about that! Perhaps I should delete my previous post...

There are no “additional” wading plugs to put in place on a Td5 😆😉 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

I believe it's not entirely necessary to plug it when wading. Does anyone know what size the timing hole is?

I’ve been doing serious off roading, wading, river crossing, swamp traversing and generally wet terrain driving for 30 + years, I have never put in a wading plug and never had any issues with the clutch or any bearings. 🤷♂️ 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

The best use for the wadingplug is to keep the oil in if you have a little leak along your crankshaft seal.
Make sure you let the oil out regularly. Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |
