I have found my door seals are in very poor state - will have to replace all of them.
Is there any recommended seals set from what is available? If it can improve dust-ingress would be perfect. Kind regards, Janusz www.yahodeville.com |

I had different doorseals on my 2007 Defnder as on my 2011.
The 2011 frontdoorseals had an extra lip on the front bottom corner. and that gives less dust in the car. |

As above, go genuine and you won't go wrong.
You can retrofit the new bottom door seals to older doors, (Part number LR029309 for front doors, not handed, Part numbers LR029307 & LR029308 for middle row in a 110), this involves drilling some holes in the bottom of the doors as the fixing do not align with older ones, but in the end they seal tighter and you won't see daylight through the bottom corners anymore /Mat |

Have a look at Britannica Restorations youtube videos. He does a comparison and the conclusion is go genuine.

Just done mine with genuine and the modified bottom seal. Came out to five times the price of pattern parts but worth the extra.
For the modified seal I only had to drill two holes per door for the parts that come round the corners and go vertical. Check strap has to be detached to open the door wide enough to drill. New seals have made a huge difference to my truck. 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |
