On one hand, I think it’s pretty cool. On the other, I can’t believe how close the Defender’s design they’ve been allowed to get. I wonder whether Land Rover’s legal department have got anything to say?? Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Defender meets G Wagon.......love it!!! 2000 D2 TD5 - ahhh bless
2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed 1997 300tdi d90 - now with electrics that work! - now with a brand new custom made soft top fitted …...…...............….new chassis now all fixed and driving like new 2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara) 2016 D4 battery magically fixed with NOCO charger |

Wow... Love it all!. Thats one sold for certain! Very similar to the original Defender but some nice changes also. Love the rear door and exterior styling. As they say a few details to be finished but this puts New Defender to Shame.. Well done Ineos.

Does look very nice. The grey cgi rendered part looks lovely. Now when’s the interior design out Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

Looks pretty good
Took the best of each of the big ones: Old Defender, Land Cruiser and Mercedes G. I liked the simplistics lines, maybe some touchs in the front will be needed. I also like the rear door (more Land Cruiser) Not bad as a start point. So, Landcruiser from the rear, Defender from the side and G-Wagen from the front. I personally find the front a little too sloping for my tastes, but as an overall vehicle...sign me up!

Wow, just wow.
I'm all in. I really hope JLR don't try and muddy the water legally. They've tried once and failed. And by the very words of McGovern, their old Defender was not designed but was just form following function. The beauty of this aesthetic is very clear and very strong. The irony is that it's taken an architect to put together an engineering led design. I guess it helps if that person is not so conceited they think the design is more about them than the vehicle. Tried to grab some screenshots but it appears they are using anti~screenshot software ~ why? 
Not sure about the bonnet seems a little narrow at the front and my first thought on the rear lights was the cost to have then all integrated ; but I'm reckoning on these guys being a little bit cleverer and hoping there's modular elements inside the case. Utility bars down the side ~

But most of all a DCPU to follow ~
I really hope we now get a few apologies from all those saying that the Defender shape had to go for legislative, ergonomic, or emissions reasons. It just needed a multi-billionaire to show what  that was.

It's not for me, as I was expecting something more like the DC100 - more modern-looking. It looks too dated for me (as does the G-Wagen). But I wish them well. They are going to sell a lot to utility companies and the like - a market Land Rover has bizarrely decided to leave. I VERY much hope they rub JLR's nose in it with their sales - and made in Britain! Now left.
