Sorry I’m having a brain freeze. What’s the gasket called where the prop goes into the rear diff. Is it a diff pinion oil seal? Thanks Ben

Yes, except it is not a gasket, it's an oil seal! Rolling with laughter

If you’ve got a pinion oil seal leak, check your prop UJ’s.
I had the seal on mine replaced many times and kept leaking, then I checked the UJ’s and the rearmost UJ on the rear prop had failed which was causing it.

I couldn’t tell really either until the prop was off, and a single UJ bearing cup had failed completely with no roller bearings left. The rest were fine but still worn.

Just thought I’d mention it.

Good point. Most jobs start nice and simple but then end up doing another 3 to sort out the 1st job.
