Puma squealing when accelerating HELP
Can anyone help, 2.4 tdci squeals like a supercharger at 2000 to 3000rpm, in any gear. It is very noticeable when hot. EGR has been changed, there are no leaks on the turbo, new inter cooler hoses. It does hesitate when accelerating hard when over 3000rpm. I’m baffled, anyone got an idea?

Usually this is a split intercooler hose (normally the one directly over the steering box) but you say that these are new, which should rule that out unless of course you've fitted Britpart ones.

It could be a split in the intercooler itself, but the other common cause is a leak either at the flange between the turbo and the exhaust manifold or (slightly less commonly) the exhaust manifold and the head. The fact that you say it is worse when hot makes me suspect the manifold joints.

Thanks for that, the hoses are silicon and not britpart. The head was replaced a year ago so it could have something related to that with the manifold I guess. The only concern I have as well is I replaced the egr with a britpart product. Thanks for your help

Turbo seal I expect, Knakatanenga do an uprated one especially if yours has been remapped which creates higher EGT (exhaust gas temperature) nice easy DIY fix. 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

Need to do mine and I’m dreading it, my luck is poxed most of the time and undoubtedly one will snap!

If your luck is as bad as mine I would pay someone to do it or wait until you replace the turbo. WARNING.
