I had something similar on a TD5 discovery a few years back. Ran fine but zero power on initial start up but would clear if revved a couple of times before pulling off.

OK, some development...
When I rev up a few times I get back power and can make it out of my driveway but it doesn't feel like it is all there. I've since noticed the following: changing up from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th, revs are about 3000, as I put in the clutch the revs drop to about 2200 and hangs there for a few seconds before falling. When not driving I can rev to over 3000 and it will drop sharply back to idle when I release the pedal. This happens only when I'm stationary (no load). Any ideas? Could it still be the MAF sensor? |
