What I do to prevent clogging of the washer jets is to add a tot of vinegar to the washer bottle.

And yes, keep a pin handy to unclog the jets Thumbs Up --

And just like that I have discovered the perfect tools for the job. Having spent time over the last year trying to clean the jets with mixed success I have found two perfect tools for the job.

First a TeePee dental stick - red. Its bristles clean deep and remove the crap inside.
Seconds iPhone SIM card removal pin. It fits like a glove, won’t get stuck inside and is great for alignment.

Both now live alongside other defender ‘specialist’ tools in the cubby box.

Thank me later 😎🥸

^^^

I'm thanking you now as the red TeePee works a treat, mine lives in the " ashtray " with various coins Thumbs Up

I mentioned this cleaning method to my work colleague and sadly the red TeePee is to big for his L200 twin cab ( 65 MY ), but the next size down which is an orange one does the job perfectly and if you need the next size down from the orange one, that will be the pink TeePee Whistle

I use one of these:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365303663811?_s...BMkqyzoopl
Which is a bit like an iPhone sim tool tool, ideal for adjusting the jet angle and pretty much keeps the nozzle clear. The one I have might have a handle that’s a bit smaller than that link though.
I find the best way of avoiding clogging the nozzles up, is be sure that debris doesn’t get in there in the first place, and secondly avoid tap water as that’ll encourage the nozzle to corrode.
Which is why I use Rain X pre mixed washer fluid.

Everyone has their own ways, likes and dislikes but if you do use a water transfer container, make sure it’s double rinsed out first, like a plastic milk bottle.
Because if you don’t rinse it out first a couple of times or another container that’s been sitting about a while you can bet it’ll have something in the bottom of it, then that’ll go in the washer fluid bottle, then guess where that’ll go straight up into the nozzle and block one up. Rolling Eyes

I do think LR could have fitted a bit better washer pump though for sure. No Guts, No Glory.
