Be interesting to see what price point it came in at giving that a Hilux starts at 26k and tops out at 40k..

More on that:

Runs counter to everything they have said previously ~ are they desperate for sales, looking to queer the pitch for Ineos, both, or is talk all it will turn out to be?

Seems to be on the wrong JLR crib sheet ~ they've turned the page on:

Having owned a 110 Double Cab i can confirm I found it to be cool looking but nigh on pointless configuration, station wagon makes sooooo much more sense, just doesn't look as cool. 90S D250 fuji and loving it.

Not so, there are animals I can legally transport in the back of my DC that I couldn't legally transport in a USW.

This forum seems to suffering from a bad case of "I can't see the point in it so there isn't any point in it", rather then recognising that other users may have different needs and views.

A pickup with a canopy is different in many ways to a hardtop, and there are things you can do with each that you can't with the other. It doesn't mean either is pointless.

I did say "I" found it pointless in a practical sense. I also didn't say I wouldn't buy a new defender DC if they brought one out. Depend how cool it looked vs lack of practicality Smile 90S D250 fuji and loving it.

Smell, mud and hair kept out of the cabin - and I reckon he enjoys watching the cars and countryside go past. My only concern is whether any exhaust fumes get sucked back in. I'd like to know if LR or anyone else has ever done any tests?

Fair point - I have considered it and never seen any signs of discomfort from him on journeys. If the rain is heavy I will drop the tilt.

I've got a temperature data logger, so might try and get some real time readings to compare with ambient temperatures.
