It has now done about 130 miles and I'm still grinning. It now has some dirt on it as the weather has changed round here.

First problem to go on the warranty list has shown itself though - Two days out in the rain and not one drop / drip on the floor mats so the built in foot spa is obviously faulty - I thought it was standard in the Defender Whistle

The roof seal doesn't seem to have the standard gap either as braking doesn't give you that early morning 'shower fresh' feeling I was used to with the 90.

Cheers,
John

Mine also doesn't leak. I told my dealer and Landrover rang me and asked me to take in so they can correct the problem and give me my leaks - I paid for them afterall! Rolling with laughter 2011 110 USW

Hush ! There will be a service action and a recall next with an assurance that all defenders from July build onwards will have the leaks factored back in Big Cry

Metallic grey is stunning ... If I ever wrap my defender it will be metallic grey the way the light catches all the contours looks amazing.

Having said that JSG ... Do you have a list of "new defender" jobs to do like Zag?

Nothing major Laughing - will get it waxoyled or similar fairly soon and hopefully the tow bar will be in stock for fitting.

The cubby box needs replacing as the standard one is too low for resting your elbow on and an aftermarket one will be easier for fitting some 12v sockets into.

The number plate will get swapped out soon as well. John

Just go back from a week in France and it now has just under 1,000 miles on it. All seems well but on the odd occasion it seems to have a 'transmission' judder / rattle when coming to a stop after cruising (ie at the toll booth etc). Couldn't get it to happen yesterday though. John

That sounds like the familiar handbrake binding noise, heats up after a run and causes the judder as you come to a rest Andy

I believe so yes, it's something to do with the heat build up on a long journey, think there will be some posts on here about this as I remember it was quite a common issue. Andy

Never had it on any of the previous ones,, but as Andy says, sure there has been a few topic#s on possible handbrake drum ?? California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Went in to the dealer today for the rear step / tow bar to be fiited along with the wing top protectors as they had come in whilst I was away.

They also adjusted the rear mudflap, adjusted the handbrake (to see if fixes the occasional rattle) and washed it for me.

New rear step.

It may well end up with a RAI for dust prevention and the plate will be changed soon (once the novelty of a 11 plate has worn off Laughing I have the plate on retention that I bought on here a couple of months back - it didn't arrive in time to go straight on the 110 when it was delivered.

I have some jate rings I kept from the 07 to go on the front and will prob change the tow ball to a pin type as well.

Still fancy some 265s ........ Whistle John
