You're right that Series III surrounds create the black bits but they're not quite a straight fit. It's necessary to cut the lips from the headlight surround apertures to provide clearance:
Click image to enlarge You'll also need a couple of additional plastic nut inserts for each side: Click image to enlarge As you can see, the louvres between the sidelights and indicators conceal holes in the wing for the horn on TD5 and Puma models. Strangely, yours seems to be fitted with headlight surrounds from an earlier model as it should have the same louvres. Thats really helpful, thanks. So I'm thinking if I get something like these for left and right side and cut and spray them body colour...
https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/lr051110...phite.html Also where did you get the little white inserts from? I assume those extra two holes for the white inserts needed drilling? EDIT - I've now read your full write up about it on your thread Anorak which is great, thank you. |

A little trip out today with a friend and his TD5 to Salisbury Plain. It's our first time green laning, we took it steady and had a great time. Also check out the cloud inversion in the third picture. It stayed like that all day

Amazingly yes! It may be staying in the garage for a little while for various reasons and I was going to pump the tyres up before I moved it into the garage but I'm not convinced it'd fit if I had done that.

Not finished just yet and the whole Defender needs a damn good clean but I'm liking how it's evolving.
