I have a little shopping list for my 110 with bits I need to get before the end of February. I am after a set of wolf type lamp guards front and rear (I need the L shaped rear right hand one to clear the spare wheel) and a G4 style mantec snorkle. If anyone has any for sale please let me know.

Just a quick one.... the "wolf" type front guards are very thin steel rod
the civilian type guards, have the thick (3mm or so) slatted bar on the front and back (wolf's didn't have light guards on the back, so you won't find those anywhere) |

I stand corrected, I never knew they were any different. Its the slatted ones I am after. |

I found out the same way , as I wanted some front guards for my 110; Dusnfold are selling new "wolf" type for £25 a pair, but I wanted them to match my (civvy) rear ones, which are theb beefier type.
managed to get some from Ben on here in the end. |

What a great looking USW
Must confess I’ve been admiring the pics in this thread for a long while and have finally taken the plunge and ordered a 110 USW in the lovely Keswick Green to replace my ageing L322 Rangie. It’s all your fault!! We have gone for an XS spec but have de-blinged it by speccing the Wolf steel wheels, MT-Rs and non-metallic paint. The dealer thought we were mad not to go for the ‘free’ metallic paint and alloys, but I love the classic look (well, it will go nicely with my old V8 Lightweight!). The plan is to turn it into a bit of a weekend camper with roof tent, fridge, cooker and some secure storage – nothing too fancy. Will post up some pics on here once it arrives… can’t wait!! Steve. |

Good choice! Will yours have the green roof and wheelarches as well? I was going to have mine like that but thought it was a bit too much green. I am glad I went for the white roof. The ONLY thing I regret is not getting leather seats, Jeremy, you should have persuaded me! You aren't far away from me so perhaps a photoshoot could be arranged when you get it. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Some more photos. I must say I am loving the cold climate pack in this snow!

I was only pulling your leg, I don't remember if it was discussed or not to be honest. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Photoshoot sounds good! Got to wait until early May for delivery though... Yep, have gone for the green arches and roof (wasn't sure if you could spec a white roof on an XS?), but the plan is to get the HD wheels and Maggiolina roof tent sprayed in a matching cream/off-white colour which should lighten up the roof area - something not quite as cream as the traditional Limestone colour, maybe Old English White or similar. Glad you don't regret your purchase, I've always wanted a brand new one to look after from day one after years of tinkering with rusty old ones! First job will be to coat it (and probably myself) in Dinitrol... |

Got the same combo on my DCPU - was difficult to find any photos online prior to purchase to ensure we would like it; but it did not disappoint in the flesh. Not a fan of the quality of LR alloys in general and they really aren't the best option on a Defender. Just trying to figure on whether it needs any chequerplate; and if it does, whether to get black or silver. |

I know what you mean - I can't find quite the same combination anywhere on the web (which is a good thing I guess?!). Any chance of posting a pic of yours to confirm I'm making the right decision? |
