Its only 18 months old, shouldn't be doing that anyway. I have just been out and taken pics of all the other rot - really not good enough on a 18 month old car that has been fully serviced and looked after.

I notice you have mentioned an issue with rust on your wheel studs; and earlier in the thread someone had commented on the length of them, with you replying that the dealer had said they were the right ones for the hd wheels. Maybe you could ask them again and mention the longer wheels studs available and whether they should have been fitted in the first place.
Having two reasons to swap them, rather than just one, may tip the issue in your favour? |

I might just mention that. The thing is I don't know of anyone else who has factory-fitted HD rims on a non-HD vehicle. if anyone does, what kind of studs do you have?? |

Thats reassuring, at least I can point them towards this thread then in case of any reluctance. I hate feeling so negative about dealers but you hear so many bad stories. Not sure yet if I will go back to the selling dealer in London (not very convenient for me in North Oxfordshire) or someone more local. I don't know where Jezza is now...would have gone to him. |

I've got the same on my 90. Wolf rims on standard studs. No issues in over 20k miles. |

Glad to know its not just mine then. Nothing to report really on my 110, the heated screen has been a real boon on these cold dark starts/finishes, clears the screen in no time. What I have found however is that if you have, say, the lights and heated seats on, it takes quite a bit longer to heat up, so I just let the screen run and then put whatever else on once it has cleared. The side demisters are a bit poor though aren't they, I never seem to get very much air pressure out of them even with the fan on full blast.
What is worrying me in these cold times is that I am almost never getting the engine up to temp, I only work a few miles from home and it is not long enough to heat the engine up, even with the rad muff. I do try and give it a nice long run on a weekend to warm it through properly... |
