Haha...
Seriously though, I’m not talking build or delivery dates....just the approx date of showing it for 1st time and giving model specification details. If they are taking deposits, they must be telling people when they will have to spec up the order? |

Windy,
The forum name is Defender2, since it was set up in anticipation of the 2nd generation defender. All these years later we're still no wiser as to when it will be revealed. This section, in living memory, has been called 2015 Defender, 2018 Defender, now 2020 Defender Roll up, roll up, pay your deposit here... No we cant tell you what it will be. No we can't tell you how much it will cost. No we can't tell you when you'll get it. |

Well i hope they show something official before April. Depending on Brexit work wants me to order a new pick-up and I was hoping to at least see any offering from JLR. Fingers crossed i guess....

The timing is right...Mules being out and about in their production ready state and the Slovakian plant is ready for production. 2018 RAM Power Wagon (American Muscle) 2003 Land Rover Discovery II HSE 7 (Still deciding on its role) 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE (British Steel...& aluminum) 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE Lux (Soccer Mom car) |

January would be good. Doubt they would build it anywhere other than UK though.

Yeah it would be cool if it could be made in the UK...nostalgia and all, and I totally get it..but the facts are that Nitra is building the Disco 5 and the plant has lots of capacity. They’ll build the Defender in Nitra as well. Economics dictate it. 2018 RAM Power Wagon (American Muscle)

I don't think that there will be a BIG show reveal. I've heard that its going out to the support services eg RNLI etc.
Geneva is not a big show and its more sports cars and sports cars body kits, I was underwhelmed when I visited it a few years ago. 130's have feeling's as well you know |

Even more job cuts at JLR plus reduction in investment.
