Just bought the donor this morning a 2007 Puma at a salvage auction. Now my project starts, will get a post up soon, if mine is half a good as yours I'll be well chuffed. |

Left into the workshop this evening and dug through the boxes of parts so think we have a fair understanding. Hope to have a good bit stripped and engine out by the weekend and then lots of prep but feels good to be underway.

A lot of work to do first. Plan this week to clean and treat everything possible. Using buzzweld rust encapsulator and then WAR. Andy

The scary bit!!
Did you consider putting it on a galv. chassis whilst you're at it, just to future proof a little? Not really, it’s not in bad shape and I plan to tidy up everywhere possible plus the rate Ged and his dad pulled it apart today a chassis swap doesn’t seem a bit task Andy

Looking good.
What are you doing for the exhaust,...extractors/headerrs / twin pipes out the rear would be my choice, but I suppose a single big bore 2.5", would be easier. The twin pipes could both exit from the same side, close to the usual exit point if you liked...a couple of nice chrome/stainless tips on the ends to finish them off. With your clearly demonstrated level of fabrication, I'd reckon anything would be possible! Pickles. |

Thanks Pickles,
Standard downpipes into twin sport cats, X pipe, centre box, then we are taking it up to 3.5" Stainless. Factory look but just bigger Click image to enlarge Andy 2014 Fuji 110 SW LS3 https://www.defender2.net/forum/post751233.html#751233 2014 Corris 110 SW http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40056.html My old Xtech 90 build.. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15681.html LS3 V8 build... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49051.html |
