As i said before, the MUD Carling switches are US spec ones.
To use it as a UK spec ON/OFF one, they supply an ON/ON switch but as it is US spec, if wired correcly (i.e. Power in to pin 2) the switch indicator light would be illuminated in the off position. (internal switch circuit below): Click image to enlarge Therefore the Mud instructions wire the switch backwards with the supply pin 1, the output to pin 2 and the link between 2 and 3 to make the indicator lamp illuminate only when in the down position: Click image to enlarge Clever, but a bodge. Mud's website says switches supplied after 2016 are EU type. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

The ones I bought from them 3months ago wern't. I think they may just be being a little clever with the wording. If wired as they state, they operate in EU/UK configuration.
