I have a couple of old versions of what the work was supposed to entail: Click image to enlarge https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/u...Manual.pdf Click image to enlarge |

At least 5 of them were mine, I'm sure many people had a go, saw the final price and didn't order. |

I reckon at least one thousand must have been me....... I set a top budget of £61k......... because I took dealer stock rather than a factory order I didn’t get one option I wanted but could live without and spent £60428 instead! What I got albeit without the e-diff cost me £3500 less than a specced up D240 SE, which if I ever sold it would remain an SE with a heap of valueless options rather than a First Edition with 3 desirable options (tow pack tow assist and Secure-Pro) Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! Last edited by Tim in Scotland on 16th Jun 2020 9:52am. Edited 2 times in total |

So is this NOT a fault but the way it's designed to work then?

Quite possibly or it they could have been contacted direct by JlR. The issue now is Powerful UK may have lost any credibility as per independent and honest reviews. If they have indeed bowed to outside pressure to keep things from their viewers, can you really trust any of their output to be an honest assessment and not just an extension of JLR's PR department? I hope not as the Land Rover printed media have long been corrupted and online is our only resource for honest feedback and information. Integrity is hard earned but easily lost. WARNING. No idea, mine went in to the dealers in 2018 to have a look at it but as of yet nothing has been fixed but I haven’t pushed the issue as it cause no real issues. |

I don’t understand LR’s attitude to owners pointing out problems - surely it saves the dealers and LR a fortune in fault finding for something that is related to someone on the production line in Nitra not doing their job properly, LR couldn’t have known and the dealers are not expected to put a high load on a new engine such that it triggers a fault in their work shop. Interesting too that my own car and PowerfulUK’s were both delivered with 49 miles on the odo, wonder how they rank that up because end of line to car train will not be far, offload from train to holding compound at Bremerhaven or Ghent for the car ship to UK is only a couple of km and from the UK ferry terminal to Gaydon holding ground is done by train or transporter. Internal driving prior to the dealership getting it cannot be more than 5-6 miles MAX. For my own car it could have been being held at my nearest LR dealership that is closed completely for C-19 Scottish lockdown whereas the car was delivered from the West Edinburgh dealership 30 miles down the M9 from the Stirling dealership who might have it it as their stock and who I originally had my deposit with! Someone in Strirling has missed out on a sales bonus as a result of C-19 furlough! Pulling the video is rather odd. I cannot imagine the guy not being present here? Maybe he has some comment. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel.

This is what he is currently saying on the matter:
Click image to enlarge Latest update: It appears he still has an engine warning light illuminated, and LR "are still in discussions" on the fix! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Last edited by Supacat on 18th Jun 2020 1:14pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Reading between the lines they asked him to remove it and he caved.
That will bite him in the arse. The internet doesn't forget. WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |
