Heater switch light flickers on / off easy fix. Puma?

Hello

The heater knob on the left back illumination works sometimes but mainly not.

Is this just a bulb I need and undo the dash. Or is it the holder of the bulb I may need?

4 As previously suggested on here by Mal (K9F) a kids drinking straw may well work well too. I however didn't have one to hand so used my method pictured.

Justgo very easy with the bulbs and don't put too much pressure on them.
A drinking straw may do the job too if you can find the right size.

a couple of bits of rubber hose pushed over some circlip pliers works well. But so long as they're not hot you can normally pull them out with your fingers.

Sorted, long nose pliers and masking tape on the end... 5 min job it works. Its been iffy for ages !!!

How do you get the front of the instrument panel off? I've removed the two torx screws but it still seems firmly attached and I'm reluctant to try prising it off in case I break something expensive!

take the radio out, remove the two torx screws then give it a good pull. (it's retained by some spring clips.)

Just sorted mine - thank you for the helpful advice. Three out of four bulbs had blown (after £70k miles / 6 years) and we’re replaced so the controls should be easier to find at night now!
