Td5 aircon - uneven air distribution through vents
Does anyone else with aircon on their td5 experience a disproportionate air flow out of the four vents as you increase the fan speed?

On first fan speed, airflow is fairly even, perhaps a slight bias towards the second vent (from NS)

On second speed, the second and third vents are noticeably more forceful than the first and fourth.

On third speed, the second vent produces about 70% of the flow with the remaining three about the same.

Hardly use the aircon, as the good old bulkhead vents are normally sufficient Thumbs Up Only noticed it the other day when I put it on full blast for its monthly run and the second vent was angled towards me..... Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

I had this. Dealer removed and checked and some of the foam had fallen down and partially obstructed the airflow. If its under any form of warranty then try that, if not, just disconnect the bottom section (the boll**k chillers!!) and have a poke around. Am sure you will find it. There is nothing in there to really break.

Cheers Landy nut. I'll take a look.

Would be wrong to have uneven chilling of the knackers for much longer.... Thumbs Up Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

make sure you dont get measured though before they have warmed up Rolling with laughter

on a serious note the air flow seem to be stronger passenger side, i asume its due to it being closer to the condenser and fan 2004 TD5 Defender 90 xs station wagon
