Taken delivery of the second relay, this time from mud. Same problem, programmable function works fine, the wipers no longer wipe when washing the screen

So either my Defender has phantom wiring that works when the LR relay is in place, but not when the Bosch relay is fitted... Or something else Neutral

Update, just been out with a meter to check what is going on

Found that there now appears to be a delay on the wiper signal when washing the screen. So when britpart state that if you give the screen a quick wash it wipes only once... Isn't entirely true. You now have to wash the screen for a second or so before the wipers will wipe 3 times

I'm not entirely happy with this, but will keep the relay in for now and see how I get on

I've just swapped in a relay 99 to my 2001 Defender 90 TD5 but found the relay in the fuse box by the gear levers and not behind the dash.

In the door itself on a Puma. Take the door card off and look see! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Unfortunately I only have an old 2001 TD5 although I guess it could be in the door. I'll have a listen!

Thread revival: is it possible to fit a rear windscreen wiper with intermittent relay on a 2008 Puma 110 model? If so, any links please?

Looking for a new version of the variable “99” relay that did not cost the earth I found this https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/programmable...iper-relay
At £12 + £3.90 delivery it’s a good price but I’m unaware of the quality.
Do the experts think this has the right physical and electrical connections ?
