Bought the real 99 VW relay at the time from my local VW dealer, works fine for 5 years now... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Update, just been out with a meter to check what is going on
Found that there now appears to be a delay on the wiper signal when washing the screen. So when britpart state that if you give the screen a quick wash it wipes only once... Isn't entirely true. You now have to wash the screen for a second or so before the wipers will wipe 3 times I'm not entirely happy with this, but will keep the relay in for now and see how I get on |

I've just swapped in a relay 99 to my 2001 Defender 90 TD5 but found the relay in the fuse box by the gear levers and not behind the dash.
Before [/img] Click image to enlarge After Click image to enlarge[/img] Wheres the relay for the rear door wiper? I can't find it!!! Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Unfortunately I only have an old 2001 TD5 although I guess it could be in the door. I'll have a listen!

Thread revival: is it possible to fit a rear windscreen wiper with intermittent relay on a 2008 Puma 110 model? If so, any links please?

Looking for a new version of the variable “99” relay that did not cost the earth I found this https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/programmable...iper-relay
At £12 + £3.90 delivery it’s a good price but I’m unaware of the quality. Do the experts think this has the right physical and electrical connections ? |
