More importantly, what is the maximum waist size for being able to comfortably fit in the drivers seat of a Defender?

Being devastatingly handsome is a burden, and whilst I’d like to say I share your pain..... Big Cry I’m with you on the obesity bit though, 6ft 2 and 14 stone equals over 25 on the BMI thing. It turns out I’ve got more eating to do in order to catch up with my fellow West Midlanders- 72% are big boys.

I am 6' and 14 stone, so 2" shorter and same weight. However my last check my % fat was 18%, and waist of 33 inch (well under 99cm)... I race mountain bikes and road bikes, hillwalk a lot, and gym 2-3 times/week.

Last personal MOT check I had a heart and metrics (i.e. biological age) of a 32-year-old, despite being 20 years older!

Not sure BMI is accurate at all. Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

I agree with you Martin, BMI is a crude tool to start an awkward conversation. As Zed said, we know if we are overweight or not. The challenge is doing something about it - if necessary. My father just had his MOT at 70 and was told he is in reasonable shape- 6ft 1 and 19 and a half stone?! I think the doc must have been recruited from the JLR QC dept.

Jasper Carrott always had good health advice.

He read a ROSPA report that said you are twice as likely to be involved in a road traffic accident within 3 miles of you own home.

"I'm bloody moving!" he said.
