Having fitted replica steps, that only lasted a week, I bought LR original from LR. They are superb. The old ones are a bit rusty, one arm having fallen off when I took them off. The black pads are cushioned and gripy. They came with completely new fittings and went on in a few minutes. BTW they are powder coated inside and out.

Hi Merlin, why did the non-original ones only last a week? Now gone - 2012 2.2 110 DC XS

I went down an un-made public road and went into a rut which hit the RH step (which didn't show any damage or even a scratch) and caused it to break the both welds between the tube and the fittings. As a result the step was angled up and back. The LR ones are much, much better made and rather sturdy. I'm hoping for another 10 years service!
