Andrew mine does the same . Very rough when started from cold but once it warms up sounds fine again. I find if I dont use too much throttle for initial 5 mins or so the coarse rattle is not so obvious. Have noticed it is getting progressively worse, so will have to get booked in to the dealers again !!!

Have you been driving my 110??? I'm having all the above issues apart from the water leak. My 110 has started surging in 5th and 6th occasionally and is logging P0404 (EGR Fault) code Tim |

Andrew
I have a list of 13 items that has been repaired or are under repair now that includes much of them. In fact, the car have visiting the dealer at least 1 per month (now is there!) But still I love it ... keep me busy Maybe will be a good idea to keep an statistic of the failures to be aware. Hi Andrew S
Would be very intereted to hear what your dealership thinks the "transmission chatter under load" is as I have that with my 130. They`ve looked and done something to clutch but still same problem, so much be gearbox/propshaft related.. sib Sib Bath UK 1952 80 inch 1973 88 inch 2018 Morgan plus 4 narrow body |

Andrew any news on your Defender yet ?
Mine is at the dealers now and I have been told it needs a complete new engine Wont see it for a couple of weeks. Very inconvenient ! What concerns me now is how much experience does my local dealer have of installing a new Puma engine !! Hope you have better luck with yours. N. |

Should change the title to rough idle whenever, anyway changed dealer. The new dealer has found that the up dated software was saying it had loaded but actually hadn't, it took 4 goes to finally get the software load. They then carried out a re-learn of the pump and injectors. Finally after over 12 months the car idles like a puring pussy as opposed to a rattlesnake on crack. 130's have feeling's as well you know

Same problem here. Main dealer/vehicle supplier failed to update injector software correctly, took it to another main dealer who identified the fault and updated the software correctly. Some dealers here seem to have issues with their computer systems and this is causing some problems.

I've been told today of another car that didn't have the pilot correction set and drove badly. This car had only 5 miles on it and was direct from the factory
After it was done which in the end was a full download and update all was fine. It just does go to show even the factory are having problems. Pete |
