here is a photo of the oil cooler I wish to remove - or replace if I can't find the plugs to remove.

Remove cooler and join pipes as a quick fix.
Engine cooling is done in the radiator on later vehicles. Your cooler would be for the transmission - auto or manual. Speak to Rovers North parts. Think this is what you have Part no.
