I also see 3532cc but I just think they use cc's, not litres.

Cheers Greeni
I was always led to believe they were 3528cc, But like you, I have also seen this figure 3532cc? Apparently DVLA are quite strict on the correct cc, and simply won’t accept 3500. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

I think the reason is didn't tax brackets used to be based off cc and that's why everything is just below the limit. I.e. >2500cc would change its bracket. Ed

Yes, your right Ed,
But the cc has to be correct for that engine, otherwise DVLA won’t play ball, If it’s not a figure on their system, they will simply send it all back. (Again!!) I’ve now got the choice of two? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Thanks Grouse,
I think I’ll go with that... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

What would happen if the engine size was exactly 3500cc?

I have a 1990 Morgan Plus 8 fitted with a Land Rover 3.5 EFI. It was the very last 3.5 litre engine supplied by LR to Morgan before introduction of 3.9 litre. The V5 shows 3528cc Defender 90XS SW

My V8 Lightweight shows 3528cc, although at any one time I reckon that only 1764 to 2646 are actually doing anything useful 😂

They did an exact 4,000 cc version for the range rover. I have one in the marcos and the dvla just would not belive it was exactly 4L until i got rpi to confirm it in writing.
