Brake Caliper Reconditioning
I'm looking for recommendations. Brake Caliper Specialists based in Nottingham have an impressive website but are they any good? Has anyone any direct experience of other companies specialising in brake caliper reconditioning? Defender 90XS SW

If its for a Defender just buy new ones. Paddocks have genuine AP ones for £160 a pair

Agreed, just buy new AP (OEM) ones and sell off your ropey old ones for someone else to refurb.

I did it last year, got about £60 for my old calipers.

Go for stainless cylinders, see http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic32525.html for supplier.

They aren't too difficult to recondition yourself to be honest. Depending I suppose if you need the vehicle as it probably takes an hour a caliper plus removal, fitting and bleeding Dog

Unless you aren't happy doing it yourself in which case I would try a local motorfactor or the above mentioned and buy replacements. Some factors will give you some money back if you return the old calipers (surcharge on a recon unit) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
