I have to say that every time I see this thread listed in the threads index I expect it to be about underperforming eBayers!
My Defender originally was supplied by Hereford Landrover back on 2007. I presume that this formerly excellent dealer has now been sucked down the Listers plughole of doom? Or has Hereford managed to retain enough of its original identity to remain good? |

Title much clearer! I too thought you were referring to time waster listing on eBay or FB. James

Whilst Listers LR in Droitwich may be a shambles, Listers VW in Worcester, all of 10 minutes down the road, are on great form. I took my 09 Golf in for a service and mentioned the aircon wasn't working. Due to the guilt of the emissions scandal VW has a pot of money to fix things at their discretion when a car goes in for routine work. 48 hours later and they had fitted a new compressor and regassed it - circa £900 of work all foc. I'm chuffed as I wasn't going to bother spending that money on a car worth £3k. Happy day.

I've used Listers in Hereford a few times and they've been spot on. Saying that, mine has just come back from having some warranty work at Shukers in Ludlow. I've got to say they were great, I dealt with Dave there. The car went in for water ingress, paint flaking on the lower grille, and a few other bits. Went in on Monday and was ready to collect the next day inc having a valet The spawn of AndrewS

Finally got mine booked in after contacting Land Rover. They had to escalate it to the business manager as they had no response from service. Not sure they know what it's booked in for however progress.
I have to say my mum has always said what great service from vw listers however I haven't wanted to try any other listers after the issues with Land Rover and seat. |

Well 6 weeks on just picked up my defender and we'll can't say listers have impressed me. After some issues with the courtesy vehicle having to be returned for a mechanical fault and being without the defender for 6 weeks I finally got a call to say it's ready and inspeacted by the service manager.
Well the best of it was two of the issues had not being sorted (the damaged key and corroded drivers seat both I have been told were authorised by landrover) they had managed to get some sort of oil all over the dash. The seat belt bracket which was corroded was replaced, however is now being held in with two different types of bolts! After a conversation with the service manager (who didn't know the seat bases were removable) I was told to take the vehicle as it's ready or make your own way home! I now have the vehicle back as far to worried about the damage that they can do to it to leave it there, and somehow need to clean the dash and get the other bits fixed. I have referred this to Land Rover who are looking into it and arranged for it to go into another dealer however really worried about sending it anywhere I don't know anymore especially looking at stratstone (my next nearest dealer) reviews on FB. 😡 |

I took the Heritage in 3 weeks ago for someone to look at the bubbling paint around the windscreen, paint flaking off the steps, rust coming through on the wolf wheels and leaking swivel housing. After a bit of chasing I've had a call today to say it has all been approved, it is booked in for mid Feb, and........they are replacing the wheels and the steps, which suprised me, I thought they would refurb. It will be with them a week and I've been given a courtesy car. Let's see if this experience is better than the last one - I've got a good feeling!!
