5.25" speaker upgrade
Wondering if you can fit 5.25" speakers under the dash in a td5 90 to replace the standard ones with limited hassle? Anyone done this anything I need to watch for cut out hole size etc?

Yes fitted Focal K2 power in both a puma and td5 no adapters necessary. Passenger side requires a bit of tapping with a hammer to sit flush, other than that relatively simple Thumbs Up

Old photos showing focal shallow mount KRS, but been upgraded since to K2 powers Mr. Green

Did you have to cut bigger holes? Those speakers are pricey the Pioneers I found look to have a mounting depth of about 46mm

They are Whistle but it all depends what you want ?
Yes you have to enlarge the holes slightly, but its relatively simple. IMO you wont gain much swapping to those pioneers. You'd gain more buying components than coaxials. A set of genuine puma take outs will probably sound better, with the highs above the dash Thumbs Up

If necessary you can get spacer rings if new speakers are slightly deeper. For example http://farcorners.co.uk/product/shallow-sp...ngs-130mm/ James
