Dash switches - can the locations be swapped?
This might be a daft question, but does anyone know if you can chamge the position of the switches (wash/wipe/fog/ TC/heated windows etc) on the puma dash? I.e. are they keyed to fit specifc slots?? if that makes sense? Thanks... Thumbs Up 2015 90 XS Santorini Black

Yes -they are ''keyed''' ... but a quick slice with the Stanley Knife sorts it...

As above regarding the keying, the other limiting factor might be the cable length. It depends which ones you want to with each other, but you might have to extend the wiring a little

I have a blank on the top left switch position. Can you get a switch for here without the symbols or with a different light symbol. Do any models use that position. Is there any wiring already in the loom?
I want to add some extra lights and would like to use that position.

It's normally taken by an auxiliary light switch YUG000540LNF

Later models have a stability/traction control switch here I think??? When you fit aux lamps to a vehicle with this switch present you have to cut the dash to suit as per VPLDV0103 instructions: -

The other option for a DSC equipped Defender (and if you never use the DSC switch) is to relocate the DSC switch inside the dash, freeing up its spot.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Found a full copy of the instructions thanks, I have a blank the left of the three so shouldn't need a hole. Local dealer couldn't even find a different switch for me.
