I think given the chance the AA will try and get away with charging as much as they can. After all ALL Defender 2.4's & 2.2's are by comparison to most cars very new so I don't see any reason why the have any excuse to charge large amounts. Last year I was paying £5 something a month then called them out over the Amber warning light (pointless anyway went out) And then next thing it's up to £17 a month $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Closest I can park is about 50m away Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Got married, aged 26, THIRTY years ago on 3rd September.
I'm already in the doghouse 'cos she wanted us to go to www.theceilidhplace.com in Ullapool for the weekend but I'm going to Rufforth Autojumble. Shall I buy her a present? or hang on to my cash? as I'm fancying changing the Ducati. I rather like the 848evo Corsa SE. A bit dubious about it's paintjob but it comes with Ohlins,ABS,DTC,DDA and a fantastic quick-shifter. www.ducati.com |

Congratulations! Flying to UK on Sunday to celebrate my parents' 50th. Wife and I will only be on 25th next year - does it get easier with time? Must be getting old - the Ullapool place looks pretty nice Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Since when was it legal for traveling fair grounds to give goldfish away as prizes again?!
Went to a festival on Saturday, came home with a fish. I only wanted a teddy bear so I could win some brownie points, but then felt sorry for the most depressed looking fish I'd ever seen so ended up taking that away. Two days later and it's more active and doesn't look like it's about to snuff it! It's in a decent sized bowl, not really big enough though, and I don't have a filter, so I'm keeping the water as clean as I can every day and going to clean the whole thing properly every couple of days until I get a proper tank sorted. Just annoys me that even though it's only a fish, I don't think any sort of living thing should be given away at somewhere like a fair..... I'm sure that 95% of the fish won there that day were either dumped in a bin, or just plopped into a bowl of cold water when they got home and were dead the next day. Bloody fish. |

Too right! Most of the roads up there are ideal but the A835 Tore to Ullapool is a corker. And the A86 Spean Bridge to Dalwhinnie and the A939 Ballater to Grantown-on-Spey both spring to mind. The food at The Ceilidh Place is delicious BTW, highly recommended. 30th Wedding Anniversary was OK, went to Helmsley for some fish and chips. |
