I think people would go in to meltdown if the shops shut for more than 2 days?

Having Lived in France for a few years, I would say they have it just right over there.
Shops are really not that important...... Evil or Very Mad 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

When I started work it was two less days Bank Holidays and just two weeks summer holiday which had to be taken in one lump. Sick pay was £3 7s 6d a week with nothing for the first three days.
Not to mention a 44 hour week.

Recently bought a Canon DSLR camera which came with small instructions on how to use, the print was so small needed magnifying glass to read "Go online at ................ to download and print these instructions" Just finished printing the instructions 548 pages. Four hours of my life wasted not to mention the cost of paper and ink due lazy manufacturer who cannot be bothered to supply the full instructions. Don't make old people mad.

I thought it was part of being a member in good standing of the order of manly men that instructions were to be ignored not printed out and read? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I'll second that. I have driven hundreds of miles in the last week behind people with rear fogs on, and not once did the conditions merit their use.

All it achieved was to make driving unpleasant, the roads less safe, and greatly increase the risk of the fog-light-user being rear-ended and dying a horrible fireball-type death.

I don't know why we let someone stupid enough to be unable to understand rear lights to drive at all.

Rear fog lights were a knee jerk reaction to a series of multiple pile ups on motorways. Of course the fault lay in driving too fast and the poor planning of certain motorway routes (through known foggy valleys for example) as much as anything else. Vehicle lighting has improved markedly since then and the 'pea soupers' that I can recall seem to be less of an issue. So rear fog lights seem almost unnecessary now.

I would argue that rear foglights were never necessary and are one of the most stupid and dangerous (and misunderstood and misused) features ever fitted to a vehicle!

I would be fascinated to know how many accidents have been avoided by their use, and how many caused by their use directly or indirectly. Of course no reliable figures are available (and it would probably be impossible to assess) but it wouldn't surprise me if they have done more harm than good.
