EU budget down by 3.7%

UK contribution UP, due to Tony Blair.

UK still second net contributor to EU after something like 2/3rds of our money being returned to us under Maggies rebate.

Now EU budget DOWN but UK contribution UP

So who are the winners? NOT the UK! Now which country/ies are paying less????

Been a bit foggy recently.

Interesting I reckon somewhere between 5 to 10% of vehicles have defective front lights. That is from those who have their lights on.

Then you have the drivers of silver and light colour cars who expect other drivers either to have ground radar or super doper eyes which can penetrate the fog and detect them.

Much to my annoyance, I passed 4 cars on the way home with only one headlight! Surely they must notice Evil or Very Mad An engine to TDi for!

How much is a replacement bulb or headlight?

Bulb £5-10?

Sealed headlight unit? £100 - £200 including fitting?

Have an accident and what is typical insurance excess? £100-£250? Then there is time involved?

Get pulled by the police? Minimum £60 fine plus possible points and then impact on insurance premiums?

Foggy & wet = no old f@rts in their hi viz and their pointy, pointy radar gun stalking the village today, they are strictly warm weather vigilantes. Steve.

People (Outsiders) ignoring the village speed limit and driving like a bat out of hell on narrow poor view minor roads and nearly going in my front. Also making me reverse too as a thank-you. Needless to say the window went down and I gave him a piece of my mind)
Needless to say his buddy following in a van looked confused. Rolling Eyes TheThunder RollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Well Steve our local roads are nice and quiet at the moment.

Some of the people who use our local roads as rat runs still have not got their cars back.

Some of them are still under snow a week later! Rolling with laughter

They will be under snow for a few more days yet.

Might teach some of them to engage brain before getting behind the steering wheel.

I was standing looking at some flowers on the flower stand at the supermarket today. No trolley, just a hand basket. No room between me and the stand at all but about 2 metres of aisle behind me. Some women with a trolley came up the aisle and basically pushed her trolley so it was nearly touching me. I turned to look at her and she just stared at me, wanting ME to move. Not sure why she couldn't just go round me, as I say there was plenty of room.

More grumpy at myself than her though as I stupidly and very Britishly said 'sorry' and walked all the way round to trolley to get out the way so she could continue her journey... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

And they'll likely have a flat battery too don't you reckon? It annoys me how people drive in the countryside like it's a motorway never thinking that it can be muddy and poor view and a whole combination of things. Saying that the DSA driving test and modern learning to drive techniques are a shambles so that plays a part. The community on here (except Killer Laughing 0 would do a better job at learning someone to drive IMHO than a lot of driving instructor out there who are only in it for the money. TheThunder RollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Hindsight can be a wonderful thing. Never works out that way though does it. Neutral It annoys me in a shop when there's one single area of items you want to get and it's crowded around so you can't even get near. You wait for it to clear and before you can get there some other ..... or more than one person slides in and then you still cannot get there. Evil or Very Mad TheThunder RollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
