2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green
Optimal Boost PSI and EGT ranges
Im curious what the 2.2 Puma engine is rated for. What should the boost PSI be? and what about the optimal Exhaust Gas Temp?

I am running the Allisport 150hp tune. Today with new pyrometer I was getting 1,000 degrees on the freeway. In low gears my boost PSI was up over 25. Just wondering what is normal, and more importantly what is dangerous for EGT. Thanks

as a rule of thumb, the EGT should NEVER exceed 750C for longer than a few minutes, else you run the risk of warping the exhaust manifold.

I have the alarm on my EGT monitor set to 650C, and I rarely touch that limit. I run the BAS remap, and I drive my Puma like I stole it Thumbs Up --

I also have my alarm set at 650degC, and rarely reach it.

1,000degC ... Shocked ... your EGT gauge is likely not properly calibrated. If that were a true reading, you'd quickly have some quite evident problems!!
