if you're scrapping the chassis you can always cut some extra holes in it to help pull the loom back through if need be.

I was repairing (welding) rear parts of 130 chassis. First I have pulled the loom from chassis, to protect from heat. After repair, I have placed the loon on the top of chassis, not inside. It was much easier, and it will not restrict later cleaning of the chassis internals. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

The loom is out , disconnect and pull through into cab. With the chassis it was pulled from the rear and out along with a couple of kilos of Somerset silt.
