Ok so police just called. Landy has been recovered for forensics and they have added my other Landy to the ANPR system until I get home from holiday in case the scum bags come back.
The police officer also mentioned how good Skytag was it helping recover the Landy compared to other tracking companies. What a day Fixing Land Rovers for over 25 years..........and making excuses to the wife for almost as long 1984 110 V8 - Gone, but not forgotten.... |

The spare wheel is safe at home, I took it off as I had to sort out the carb prior to the MOT (didn't fancy working under the bonnet with all that weight on it) and didn't put it back on. Fixing Land Rovers for over 25 years..........and making excuses to the wife for almost as long

Just re-read my earlier comments on the police. I will temper my comments on the basis i was well ticked off with the gits that nicked my Landy.
End of the day my Landy is recovered safely thanks to Skytag and the police working together. I don't envy the police (tough job) and I'm sure they have far more serious crime to 'instantly' respond to than my Landy. The big question is should I have a beer or stick with being t-total? 🤔 Fixing Land Rovers for over 25 years..........and making excuses to the wife for almost as long 1984 110 V8 - Gone, but not forgotten.... |

too close for comfort they will be back, I suggest some serious security upgrades and now they know you have a tracker fit a second one, they may even use this forum!! DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Oh yes and few more security measures will be deployed. Main problem is the vulnerability when we are away and the scrots have plenty of time work on any counter measures.
My wife has already planned a big upgrade to the CCTV system, gates and security posts sunk into the concrete. I have a few extra vehicle based plans and will have the Landy delivered straight to my local specialist for the upgrades. Oh and then have all those also added to the 110. Glad it's been recovered in one piece and Skytag performed well.
I use them for mine but luckily haven't needed to use them. Defender Td5 Commercial 2002 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Westminster 2012 Discovery 4 SDV6 Landmark 2016 |

Glad it's not too bad, as per my post a few weeks ago mine went, neighbour saw it being taken and Police were quick in getting to area. In my case they chased it and scumbag rolled it so SkyTag didn't help me. Can't fault the response or the SkyTag people when I did speak to them.
From previous experience they often park them up to see if it has tracker fitted. On another note I had just gone on holiday and another attempt in my area the owners had just gone on holiday.......... |
